Cheryl provides financial management services to mid-size private and public sector organizations. She currently works as a consultant.
Cheryl served as the interim CFO for a gaming operation in Arizona, assisting with the planning and funding of a new gaming facility. Prior to joining McGladrey, she was the CFO for the Barona Band of Mission Indians supporting the Tribal Council in managing fiscal governmental projects and programs as well as enterprise matters.
During her tenure at Barona, Cheryl launched an economic development corporation establishing an investment strategy to diversify the Tribe’s revenues.
She was previously appointed the first Director of Accounting of San Diego Regional Airport Authority. Cheryl also served as a Trustee for a large retirement plan overseeing the plan’s policies, procedures and investments.
Cheryl has significant experience working with boards and collaborating with business partners to define and meet strategic organizational goals.
She is skilled in managing regulatory and compliance requirements with an outlook towards emerging trends. Cheryl values strong communication to foster proactive working relationships. She is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated with a degree in Accounting from Chapman University.
